The speech therapist has set up an email address at
Clearview for Kenn. She will check his email with him
at least once a week.

Anyone can send him pictures, jokes or just a message
to be read to him. It is kenn@kenn-info.org

Talk to him about motorcycles and rides,
camping or even hiking. Make sure you put your
first name and last so that when she reads it she
can tell him.

If you want to explain how you know
him that would be great. Thanks.

Thurs. Dec. 2, 2010

12/2/10
Greetings to everyone, and I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. I went to visit Kenn in the morning of Thanksgiving. He seemed to want to sleep during part of the visit, so I stayed about an hour and a half. When I got back to Madison, I helped with a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless, that was hosted by the church I go to. Then around 5, I went over to Esther's for a Thanksgiving meal with her family. Jeremy, Shawn, Jenny, and their girls, went to Jenny's mom's place. Jeremy didn't believe me when I said that I did all three things, but I just paced myself at all 3, and I was back home about 9 that night. Jeremy and I swapped vehicles for the day, because I was still using my spare on the van. Shawn fixed the hole in the tire, but when he put air back into it, he found a small bulge, and said I couldn't drive it that way, plus it was getting well worn on the side walls. So Fri. morning, I had no kids, so I went to get 2 different tires put on the back. I thank God for AAA, because last week, I needed them to come out, and tow my Saturn to Sun Prairie to get checked out, plus the same day that was done, that evening I needed a jump for my van, because I had left the headlights on a little too long. All day Fri. and Sat. I worked out in Sun Prairie, at the thrift store at 633 Main St., that our fellowship has opened to help reach people who need help. I really enjoyed it. I thank God for providing a chiropractor to go to now, because I went last week for the first time since Jan. or Feb., when I last went to my other one that we've been going to for 31 years. He found my right leg was about l l/2 inches shorter than my left leg, so it was no wonder, that I felt I was walking funny going into the office, but he couldn't believe how short it was. Esther, and her family go to him too. I'm still dancing, in fact, I have a dance lesson at 4:30 today. I've had people asking me if I have a tree up yet. No I don't. I have to admit, I have no desire for Christmas, the cold weather, or snow to be here this year. It just seems to soon. I'm not ready to deal with any of it. Yes, I have gotten a few gifts, but really there's no desire to even do that. Mon. the 29, I had an appointment for Kenn ,to get his bacolfen pump refilled at the clinic in Middleton, in the afternoon, so Esther was here to do back up for me with her 2 kids. When I was trying to get the kids fed lunch so I could put them down for a nap before I left, the the social worker at Clearview, where Kenn is at, called me. She didn't know what was going on with Kenn's appointment on Tues. morning. I told her that I would call the clinic, and get back to her. I had to focus on getting done what I needed to do here, so that I could get out of here, in order to meet Kenn at the clinic in Middleton. I told Esther the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at Clearview, because of the lack of communication. His pump refill went fine, like usual. After that appointment, I called the G I clinic in Beaver Dam to find out what was planned to happen on Tues. morning. I had gotten a call from the head nurse at Clearview, a week or two ago, telling me that Kenn had a doctor's appointment at the Beaver Dam Hospital, in the G I clinic, about his feeding tube. Dr. Ward had recommended having a button feeding tube put in, so that there's no tube hanging down to get caught in stuff, and so he doesn't need to wear a binder to protect it from being pulled out by anyone. So I found out the information, and called the social worker back, who was glad to have me relay what I had found out. So then, on Tues. morning, I had to be in Beaver Dam at the hospital by 9 a.m. I took the 3 daycare kids I had that day, and we picked up my granddaughter Kaili, and then, I dropped all 4 off at Esther's place in Sun. Prairie. Kaili was to help with the kids there. I made it to the hospital before they got Kenn there. All they really did was to take out the old feeding tube, measure the size they were going to need, and then put a temporary one back in until the one they order came in, and then we need to go back in about 1-2 weeks, and have the button feeding tube put in. I was told that I really didn't need to be there if I didn't want to, because it was just a short consultation, with some measuring. The nurse said they would try to call me first, to set up an appointment to go back, so that it can be a time that will work better for me. I was so glad it all worked out for me to be there, so that I could ask some questions, and meet the doctor. The hospital is a new one they've built, since the last time Kenn was in there. This Sun. coming up, is the holiday Christmas party for the residents at Clearview, from 2-4, so I'll try to get there for a part of it. I would appreciate your continued prayers, because this is going to be an interesting month with the holidays. Thank you, and God bless.
