WOW!! Where do I begin. I want to say, "Hi," to those of you who work for Workman's
Comp. that is reading these updates. Just to set things straight, there is no hospital
across the street from where Kenn is. It is the north nursing home which house the
Clearview Brain Injury Center on one floor. The nearest hospital is in Beaver Dam
which is 10 miles or more away depending on which way you go.
Life here has been some what stressful and emotional.
It's certainly different having more people living here. Shawn and Jenny sold their
mobile home the Tues. night before Easter and the guy who bought it wanted to
move into it 3 days later, but they didn't get everything out until Easter afternoon. The
guy who bought it had a mobile home in the same park that burned to the ground
and has been living in a motel. Last Sun. when I visited Kenn, I was talking to him
about Shawn and Jenny and he looked straight at me, was moving his tongue, making
a noise in his throat and moving his mouth. When Kenn gets his mouth cleaned out
he sticks his tongue out and runs it along his lower lip some. He has done this more
constistently. Early Wed. morning the 18, Kenn stormed for the first time in about 31/2
months. He stormed again yesterday for a short time. So today when I visited he
wanted to sleep most of the time because of the extra meds for the storming. Also,
on Thurs. morning, when Kenn showed up for his doctor's visit he wanted to sleep
for most of it because of the extra meds given to him on Wed. for the storming.
Yesterday, Esther and Russell came to Madison for my birthday which is on Mon. the
23. Also, a friend from Sturgeon Bay came to town yesterday and took me to get an
hour massage, which felt so good plus she took me out for supper, all for my birthday.
