Happy St. Patty's Day!! Isn't this warm, sunny weather just gorgeous. I love it. I was able to hang out clothes for the first time last week. Praise God!! Sun. March 7, in the evening, Esther and her 2 kids went with me to see her dad. She found out she hadn't been able to go visit him since Sept. last year, and she said it was so nice to go visit him again, because she felt bad it had been so long. Mason wanted to go see his Grandpa. He wanted to introduce his Sissie to his Grandpa. Everyone who saw Desiree, thought she was so cute. Esther was amazed to see the way her dad was concentrating on listening to the message on the CD player. We took some pictures of him with the 2 grand kids, and Esther. It was nice to have someone go with me. Sun. the 14, I went by myself to visit Kenn. I talked with the nurse, who remarked on how strong his cough reflex, and clearing his throat is. His left thumb has healed nicely, and so has the sore on his left temple. Now they noticed a red spot on the top of his left foot, and also his toes look like they might be hitting the top of his black boot, so they are leaving his boot off more than the right one. They are trying to watch it closely, so no sore starts. They sometimes have a pillow on his chest to protect his finger. They wonder if his thumb rubbed enough on his chest when he coughs that created the sore. I talked to therapy there, and found out they got his new splints for his hands and elbows, so now they can begin working with him to find out how long he can tolerate them at one time. Then they will set up a schedule for the CNA's to follow for putting them on, and taking them off. Next Tues. Kenn has a doctor's appointment to get his pump refilled again. Last week, we had another round of colds again, so this week I've been opening up windows to air out the house. Last night, some how at Zumba aerobics class, I did something to my left knee, so during the night it was very painful. I've been icing it today, and using crutches some. It's so hard to stay off it today as much as possible. Thank goodness, today I've only had the 2 daycare boys. Thank you so much for continued prayers, which are so much appreciated.
