The speech therapist has set up an email address at
Clearview for Kenn. She will check his email with him
at least once a week.

Anyone can send him pictures, jokes or just a message
to be read to him. It is kenn@kenn-info.org

Talk to him about motorcycles and rides,
camping or even hiking. Make sure you put your
first name and last so that when she reads it she
can tell him.

If you want to explain how you know
him that would be great. Thanks.

In answer to the question asked, I tend to think he is trying to move his tongue sometimes to talk and no to the question does anyone work with him when he does this, just me when I'm there and see him doing it. I keep encouraging him to talk and keep making the noise he's making. The CNA's don't have the time because they have too many residents to take care of. Worker's Comp doesn't want to pay for any speech/physical/occupational therapy as I'm told. They don't think he would benefit from it. They seem to have just written him off as not recovering any more but I know that God has other plans than for Kenn to just sit there day after day waiting for his life to be up. God is raising him up to be a walking miracle of His healing power and mercy, even as I write this. He should never had made it this far, but PRAISE GOD he has. Sun. the 21, when Esther and Russell had Mason there to visit, Kenn wanted to sleep in his chair. We put Mason by Kenn's cheek and told him to poke at Grandpa to wake him up. Mason did. Kenn ended up opening up his eyes and frowning. We had Mason stand on Kenn's lap and was prancing with his feet. Kenn opened his eyes and was watching Mason, plus Kenn also frowned at Mason. Yesterday when I visited Kenn, I took him for a walk down Main St. in Juneau. We stopped to see Loretta and talked to her for awhile. She prayed for him and anointed him with oil like it says to do in the Bible. Kenn was awake the whole time we were outside and he was looking at Loretta and was paying attention to her talking. He was making some noise in his throat at times and moving his mouth. When I took Kenn back to Clearview, we went into the rec room and I was reading the healing Scriptures to him. He kept his eyes open and was paying attention. He was also making noise in his throat so I kept telling him to try talking to me. I put my ear up to his mouth in case he wanted to say something quietly to me like he did Aug. '05. Loretta told me that I've really become brazen in my spiritual walk since Kenn's accident and not in a bad way but a good way. I told her I feel I really don't have a choice. I know that the enemy don't like how strong I've become and he feels threatened by it. I can tell because of the way he keeps trying to attack me, but I'm not giving up. PRAISE GOD!!! God is keeping me strong, because He is my strong tower.

  • Brazen in your spiritual walk...wow, that IS a compliment. The fact that you have not totally flipped out is a testimony to the grace and guidance of the Almighty...an amazing thing...actually a miraculous thing. :>)

Blessings and continued prayer for all of the above, Marianne Jensen
