Monday 3/13
Yipppeee!! Yipppeee!!!!! I finally have a hearing date.
It is Thursday, April 13. I can't believe it finally came.
Last Thursday night and part of Friday Kenn started
neurostorming. He also had a temperature on Friday night into
Saturday. He had alot of drainage in his throat. They
think it's some kind of respiratory virus. I wasn't surprised
because of the way he was coughing more than usual on Wednesday
night when I was there. That could also be why he was
neurostorming Thursday night and Friday because he
wasn't feeling well. They started him on an antibodotic. His
oxygen level dropped so they started giving him some oxygen.
Sunday afternoon when Russell, Esther and I got there to visit him,
they had just recently put him to bed. He was sound asleep.
He seemed to sleep until they got him up in his chair. He even
wanted to sleep sitting in his chair a good share of the time.
He would open his eyes every so often and a time he had them open,
I took a pink sponge to clean out his mouth. I had the sponge on the
edge of his lower lip and he stuck out his tongue as if playing
with the sponge. I put my finger at the edge of his mouth and
he did the same thing. It was fun to watch. Esther was watching
this and she also remarked at how he was watching me even though
I wasn't saying a thing. They will slowly cut down on the oxygen
that he gets. He was to have a chest x-ray today to see if
anything was in his lungs. I haven't heard the results yet.
I've had some people asking if I've gotten my appetite back yet.
The answer is no. I have to make myself eat.
Carol
