Wednesday, November 2 update
Yesterday they resumed Kenn's feeding through his tube.
He got one in the morning and then another one last night
while I was there. Last night the nurse put it in a sypringe
to put in his tube instead of in a bag that they hang up and
connect to his tube. He said he wanted to go real slow with
it and moniter how well he tolerated it. The feeding went
well. He was sitting up more at a 90 degree angle, which I think
helps alot. He sounded more raspy. He wasn't coughing which they
would like him too. They are weaning him off the oxygen. He still
gets a breathing treatment every 4 hours. He was very sleepy.
He did not respond to me which is fine. They are still using a
machine which looks something like a massager, on his back to help
loosen stuff in the lungs. They have started him on two different
medications to help take care of the pneuominia.
His appointment for Friday morning has been postponed till next Fri.
I am not sure when he will get out of the hospital yet.
