On Thurs.6/16, Kenn had his botox injections. Last
weekend when I visited him I could already move his
right arm more than I could before the injections.
On Tues. when I visited him, he sat in his wheelchair
holding his head up away from the head rest for a
longer period of time than I've seen. I could just
about straighten his right arm, which I haven't been
able to do for a long time because of the tight muscles.
I could also bend his right knee some. I held his left
hand in my left hand away from his shirt and he moved
his left arm at his elbow and even at his shoulder,
which is more than I've seen before. He seems a little
mobile some days more than others. It's fun to watch
his facial expressions when you talk to him.
They say alot. It's fun to go visit him and see how
is he responding differently.
Also on Tues. when I visited him, my parents were with
me. We were able to take him across the street to a
beautiful garden. He seemed to enjoy it. It's so great
I can take him outside to enjoy the weather.
The nurses did not give the o.k. for Kenn to go to the
zoo this week. They said he would be sitting in his
wheelchair for too long of a period of time with no
place to lay down.
He is getting alot of pampering from the CNA's and
teasing too. If you do visit him, there is a notebook
in his room, please sign it. This will let him know
who visited him while he was recovering. It also helps
me as well as the nurses if you sign the book.
Thank you.
His wife, Carol
