The speech therapist has set up an email address at
Clearview for Kenn. She will check his email with him
at least once a week.

Anyone can send him pictures, jokes or just a message
to be read to him. It is kenn@kenn-info.org

Talk to him about motorcycles and rides,
camping or even hiking. Make sure you put your
first name and last so that when she reads it she
can tell him.

If you want to explain how you know
him that would be great. Thanks.

This afternoon Kenn went to the U.W. Clinic in Middleton
for botox injections. Dr. Ward, who goes to Clearview
once a month, wrote the order, and was the one
that administered the injection today. He knows what he's doing.
I asked a lot of questions and he was able to answer them.
What the botox does is put “like” a block in the nerves
so that it can’t tighten up like it has done. Botox
relaxes the muscles. He had injections in his right arm
and lower right leg. It should be easier to do range of
motion exercises with his right arm. Since he had botox
in his right leg today they will start doing what is
called "serial casting" on his right foot because his right
heel does not go all the way down to the floor while standing.
Also, his toes on the right foot have dropped towards the
bottom of his foot. The botox and cast should help this too.
It can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks for us to see the
right side relax. He took the injections real well.

The physical therapists are teaching the CNA's that take
care of Kenn in the evening how to put him on the stand up
table. He will be on the stand up table now some evenings
as well as during the afternoon. We are seeing some small
steps of progress.
