April 29 update

Kenn’s progress is coming slowly and inconsistently.
After an x-ray was taken at Clearview they found that
his right clavicle bone does have a small fracture with
some small bone fragments. The report given is that
his right shoulder bones are chronically separated.

The therapists say they are primarily working with
Kenn’s left arm because the movement is more involuntary
with his right arm and the concern of the injury to
his right shoulder. Kenn continues to receive physical
therapy five days a week.

In speech therapy they continue to work with the frozen
glycerin sticks to improve his ability to swallow and to
strengthen those muscles. The therapist believes Kenn
is showing some progress in giving a thumbs up for a
yes answer to questions. Progress is slow and there is a
long way to go.

Kenn continues to respond more to family members.

The staff at Clearview remains hopeful for improvement.
They believe Kenn’s length of stay will be at least six to
